Another Day of Brutalism

I recently enjoyed another day out in London exploring Brutalist Architecture with professional photographer and guide Tony Bramley of Light Academy Training. On this occasion we visited the BT Tower, Trellick Tower, Kensington and Chelsea Town Hall and the Festival Hall and Hayward Gallery on the South Bank.
We were fortunate again with the weather with strong sunshine for most of the day producing harsh shadows that are ideal for this type of photography.
It was an ideal opportunity for me to try out my recently acquired Leica CL and 28mm (equivalent) pancake lens. I was not disappointed with either although the image above was shot on a full frame camera with Zeiss 18mm.
(Update: I’m delighted that the above image has since been selected for inclusion in the curated Leica International (LFI) Gallery.)
